For the last two years, we have bought a five gallon drum of kerosene at Lowe's (about $15), and I now have two empty drums in my garage. What is the responsible and legal way to dispose of these drums?
Are you using kerosene in the Wallas? I may switch from diesel when my Wallas gets fixed as it does not store well (turns dark and soots if not burned right away).
Yes, we switched early on from diesel to kerosene in the Wallas. They SAY kerosene does not store well either, but so far we have had no problem keeping it about a year...

Pat,
Snohomish County, usually sponsors an opportunity for residents to dispose of hazardous waste (ie: old paint cans etc.) periodically. Check with either of the two counties you reside in and perhaps they have the same type of program. (They like to sponsor these events so this "stuff" doesn't end up dumped along the roads, into the woods, lakes, rivers, my hayfield :disgust etc.)
