Dreamer Moving to Warmer Waters

There comes a time for everyone to move on to other persuits. We have decided to do some land cruising while we're still able.

Dreamer will be delivered by Cory to its new home in Ventura CA before too long. We'll be sad to see her go but anxious to start a new chapter.

Since we have a capable tow vehicle, we're getting a fifth wheel trailer.

However, once a C-Brat, always a C-Brat! We'll see you in Friday Harbor.

That should be fun for you and Janet! Just be sure to get a Burgandy unit so we can spot you as you cruise back and forth past our area. I was amazed at the prices this year at a local RV show. Much more for your dollar than a few years ago.

Friday Harbor it is.....

Greg

Roger and Janet -- wow, you are among the last people I would have put on the short list to move to land cruising. Have a great time, and consider joining an RV caravan to Baja with Vagabundos del Mar, Tracks to Adventure, etc. Maybe we will see you down here!

Warren

Good luck Roger and Janet. We have enjoyed your company tremendously and will greatly miss seeing you guys out on the water but hope your land based adventures are equally safe and enjoyable!

Take care,
Dan, Tanya, and Hannah on C-Renity

Congratulations...I think. No way is Dreamer going to be happier, even in the warmer water. You are, however, correct about staying a C-Brat. We would not let you leave us. Best of luck and happiness to you folks.

I still have the name tags from the last Bellingham trip I took with the kids. I reckon they're collector items now!

Thanks for being with us and for choosing to stay. You are a big part of what makes this group so wonderful.

Mike

Wow, Roger, can't you reconsider? Bathursts do both now, and Andersons will be doing both too in 2014! Half our time at Birch Bay, half our time on the boat and half our time in the fifth wheel!

Traveling styles change - we sure understand, and wish you two lots of fun times with the land traveling. SO glad to hear that we will get to see you, still. It has been our pleasure to travel with you on the water... maybe we'll get that chance on land, too. You two are a great couple, everything that the C-Brat style is all about.

See you in May!

Best wishes,
Jim & Joan

"Vagabundos del Mar"..sounds a bit like C(or sea) Brats. I do envy you, Jim, Grumpy, Doryman, and Pat, the Cinco Amigos! Best wishes to you on your new adventure.

I will second Warren's comments. Your the last couple that I expected to leave the water for land travel. We manage to do both like Wild Blue, however we spend 5 months each winter in our motorhome, then spend the summer on the TomCat.

Good luck.

Congrats: thup Glad it worked out for you.

Finally y'all came out of the closet :-)

Happens to us all and it doesn't exclude old (some old, some very old and some just plain old, Old OLd, OLD) friends from our future adventures. Life goes on.

Now let's get real, serious questions:- How many engines on your land yacht ?? Do you have a Wallas???
Don't even get me going about Warranty!!!
(Winnebago chassis, Mercedes engine, Sprinter body, etc etc & you thought you had a problem with a C-Dory  )

How long is your shore power cord

Don't tell. You can load more "vino" on a land yacht than you can on a C-Dory.

Welcome to the "Old farts" club :D :D

Thanks Merv and everyone else for the kind words. We have found, over the last 46 years, that we can handle and enjoy only one fairly expensive hobby at a time. Early in our marriage, we started boating with my in-laws boat. We then bought our own 16' Enterprise tri hull. Two foot fever kicked in and we got an 18' Cobalt.

Then we changed gears completely and learned to fly sailplanes and owned 4 over 18 years. After losing 4 friends in flying accidents in 18 months, we returned to boating. Dreamer is the 4th boat in this 22 year chapter.

So this is the next chapter. We're excited about the possibilities.

We admire your choice - transitions in life style are critical to maintain vitality, we believe, and. congratulate you two fine folk in your decision. Stay active
on the Brat site - we and all your friends will want to hear your news.

Enjoy your new lifestyle together. Cheers El and Bill

Roger and Janet,

You two are great. Congrats on the transition, and anytime you want to get a water fix, you are welcome. It was a surprise, but want to wish you the best. There are some great parks and trails out there..... enjoy.

Wow, I didn't see this coming. Roger and Janet we are going to miss you. Hopefully you will continue posting on the site and keep us informed of your adventures.

Congrats on the next chapter! That's a lucky new owner of Dreamer, what a boat. All the best land cruising, there is a lot of country out here. We're at Casey"s in Lake Montezuma and are trying to figure out how to see the painted desert over by Winslow, and get to Williams to take the Grand Canyon train and drive some of route 66 and take in the planes of fame museum in Vale, and get up to Page for early March. Man one needs a month right here let alone see all around Sedona. Nice problem though. Time is precious. Will see you at Friday Harbour. Any ideas on the new 5th wheel? Same as the boat go as small as you can be comfy in. There are some rv parks only 40 feet of pull thru. We had one in Tucson though of 90 feet. The big rigs when we talk to them do wish it was smaller sometimes. Best of luck, see you George and Carolyn
