When looking back at a thread I had posted in, I noticed yesterday that there were duplicate posts, appearing that I had posted the same post twice to the thread. Then I noticed it again. So being very careful on the next post, I checked and it was not duplicated. Then later there was another duplicate. Now this morning I am seeing some duplicate posts, and not just mine but from other experienced users who I am pretty sure didn't slip up.

Anyone else noticing this, or is my penchant for twins spilling over to an automatic double redundant posting as well?

Thought maybe someone else should know, check or tell me what I.m doing to mess up.

Harvey-

I noticed the plethora of duplicate posts, too, too!

If it persists, Bill will take action, I'm sure.

I noticed it. Thought it some evil, joo-joo in 0010001110001 world. It's happened to me before w/out explanation....

Ahhh.... but it is still going on. I just noticed another double on the Garmin 740 thread, and I have been paying very close attention to how I am finishing my posts.

Let's see if this one duplicates itself.

Now I am seeing a lot of these. Are they only showing up on my laptop, or are others noticing them too. Think something is not right here. Double vision, nervous on the keys or is there some kind of a bug going around?

Double Tap Harvey! No idea why--but for the most part the double posts are yours....sort of like stuttering on the internet.

Harvey, I suspect that you are using the back arrow on your browser, and it is sending a second post. I've seen that happen on my Mac several times, but I normally get a message saying something to the effect of "Do you want to resend the page"...

You are right, I do use the "back" arrow frequently. I will start watching that and keeping from it and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you,

You ARE RIGHT!!

I just did the back button, and sure enough, a second duplicate post.

Thanks for your help.

After watching my habits for the last few days, I'm sure it is the "Back Button" syndrome. So now I am wondering if this is a new change resulting from some innocuous update that was introduced. Reason being: I think I have been using the "Back Button" to get back to the main menu for a long time, thus developing a "habit".

Just thinking again ---- (OUCH that hurts

It's been that way for years. No idea if it's a "feature", or just an over enhancement. I see it on others sites, too.

OK, Thanks again. I'll try retraining the old guy, where ever he is. :?
