the night before I arrived in town, the Cove Lodge and the Coho bar burned to the ground, what a mess. They had pulled the gas range out to clean and in the process and old flexible gas line developed a leak, about midnight, kaboom. There is absolutely nothing left of the lodge. Everybody in town formed a bucket brigade to help keep the whole town from burning up

Fishing has been good, my big fish so far has been a 135# halibut...many nice kings & a bunch of nice silvers today...it's good to see the silvers showing back up, it makes for a pretty fun day to catch a bunch of them.

I had a nice visit last night with Jay & Jolee of Hunky Dory fame. They where passing through & spending the night and then heading off to Pelican....retirement seems to agree with them.

hey neighbor, I'm driving the same boat, 32' Little Houquim. It's a great fishing boat and I'm finally getting all the little things squared away so it fishes good for me. Every year I hit town and take folks fishing the next day. That first day is always a mad scramble, it takes me about three weeks to have everything organized and tidy.
