I enjoyed a great end of the season cruise from Elfin Cove to Juneau Friday. I packed up the Little Hoquim boat with cargo and a few guests and had a super ride back to civilization, the weather, the water, the whale shows all spectacular.

what a season, good fishing, good folks, can't wait until next summer.

Welcome back Ken. Don't know about the rest of the C-Brats, but I'm anxiously awaiting a few words about your summer experiences in the northland.

thanks folks, I'll word up some tales after the dust settles. The season went well, King fishing was poor and the Coho bite was spotty but the halibutt fishing was pretty solid. I didn't have any unhappy guests and some even said they would come back next year if I would be there, doesn't get any better than that :)
Gas was selling for $5.90 a gallon at the dock, glad I wasn't paying that bill.

Typical morning-
get up at 5:00, trudge up to lodge for coffee and see who I had for guests
trudge down to boat, turn on heater and work on fishing gear
wave to Gene on Reef Madness
trudge back up to lodge for a bit of breakfast and build lunch
trudge back down to boat with lunch box and coffee pot
cast off at 7:30, navigate through the narrow, shallow exit and then procede with safety speach
attempt to provide guests with fishing trip of a lifetime
