Ethanol Free Gass

I don't think the list is complete - at least as far as marina pumps go. My "home port" (Zittel's Johnson Point Marina) has ethanol-free gas.

I'm sure it's not perfect. But it does show how difficult it is to find that fuel on the left(ist) coast. My experience is the marinas that do have it (most) charge through the eye ball for it...I'd just like to get it for what the E10 costs at my local fuel stops, especially since E10 costs MORE to produce/refine than regular dino gas.

Agree. Absolutely. I live in fear that as expensive as it is, my local supply of the good stuff may disappear. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if the percentage of marine outlets that offer non-ethanol is at least as "good" (a very relative term) as the percentage of land based gas stations. But of course, the marina sources are a miniscule base against which to make the comparison, anyway. Not a good situation.

Now lets hope that the new kids on the block get it right with respect to the science on all kinds of issues, including ethanol. What are the chances?

forrest,

Thanks for posting this info. Yesterday I filled up my gas cans for the winter generator season at this location:

UNION 76, 116TH STREET GROCERY 3628 116TH ST, Marysville, WA.

No E10 stickers on the pumps. The gas did NOT smell of alcohol. The owner says her gas is definitely not E10. She gets the gas from a distributor in Ferndale and she has no plans on switching to E10. Same owner said she recently drove to Spokane and made it there on one tank of her gas. On the return trip, she had to stop and refuel due to the lower MPG of the E10 gas.

The price of regular was $3.12 while most of the Marysville stations I saw were $2.99 to $3.09.

This station is one block off of the I-5 and looks to be easy in and out for trailers.

I have no financial interest in this station, but I do think we should support the owner by buying there if possible.

 Makes perfect sense for our "energy self-reliance".

I wonder how accurate this list is? There is one station in Pensacola, which claims that its 93 oct gas is etoh free. But I have seen the tanker trucks which come from the fuel depot in the harbor fill up that station's tanks. Do they have a special tanker come from somewhere else to bring the non ethaool gas?

NONE, NONE, NONE, in the state of California! :amgry

Joe. :disgust :thdown
Joe,

I think you're coming around. That's why a bunch of us moved out of CA

Upon retiring, we moved from the Bay Area back to Redding, where I grew up, because my mother still lives here (she's93 now). :wink

Unfortunately, she's probably outlive me!!! :smileo

No relief in sight!

Joe. :teeth :thup

If you look at the website you will see that anyone can add a station or marina and the site's authors encourage you to do so. There is also a place to edit or comment about the station if something is incorrect. As for the accuracy of all the listings, it's anybody's guess. It does give you a starting point if you're looking for alcohol free gas. I know the information in my area is correct.

For those of you who drive through Mount Vernon on your way to launch at Twin Bridges, Washington Park, or Cornet Bay there is ethanol-free fuel available at the Union 76 station 17587 SR 536. I paid $3.19 there this a.m.

This also wouldn't be too far out of your way if you're headed up to Bellingham as well. Good connection to Hwy 20 and then back to I-5.
