For those with interest, I just came across some great fuel containers for transporting extra gas on those longer voyages. They can be found at www.denniskirk.com. Type in Part No. 18-986. Each heavy duty roto-molded plastic can holds 5.7 gallons and measures 12x12x14. They have two built in handles and each container can interlock with the one next to it or they can be stacked one on top of the other. They come in clear, red, and black. Two of them fit beautifully between the built in gas tanks and four of them would fit there and only protrude six inches into the cockpit. I think they are just great. And get this, the manufacturer is MOOSE Racing Equipment. Imagine that.
