Hi everybody
thought I would just let you know that I fixed my leaking rub rail on the starboard side and it wasn't as bad of a job as I feared. The first thing I did was tie my boat up so the starboard side faced south on a sunny morning and warmed the rubber up. Pulling it out of the channel was easy and I found 4 drilled holes that had no caulking, that went right through the boat ( I can't believe it took four years to start leaking). Since I had the caulk I also caulked all the rivet holes, as well as the four drilled holes. We went for a long lunch, came back and with a small putty knife had the rubber back in place in about half an hour. That was almost a month ago but I was afraid to post this because just as soon as I did I figured it would start leaking again...but a month later the boat is dry ( I'm knocking on wood as I write this). I know other cd-25's had this problem so if this helps anybody else then I'm glad.
