Florence floats Red Top!

Red Top was parked in driveway, strapped to twin axle trailer, drain pulled. Florence delivered 6+ feet of storm surge water to driveway. RED TOP FLOATED! Next morning found caught in trees, if not may have floated out to street and then?

Couple days later trees cut down and boat returned to driveway where we are living in it. The house contents were destroyed, but house can be rebuilt.

Thanks for update. Glad about the boat but sad about the home. We had extensive damage after Hurricane Charley in 2004 and took a long time to recover. Be careful of the cheats offering their services.

Glad the boat is OK. Our sympathy about the house content. Nothing worse than a "flood". (except maybe fire). Many of our neighbors faced complete loss during Ivan....

Hopefully you will recover as much as possible and life will be close to "normal"--but so many photos etc are often lost!

So sorry to hear about the house. The flooding was just awful from Florence. Our thoughts are with you as you rebuild and get back to normal. So happy to hear you didn't loose the boat too. Did you take any pictures of the boat in the tree? I would love to see that! We planned to use our 22 as our evacuation plan, hauling it inland and living in it until the coast is clear (literally). Its always on our mind this time of year living on the coast.
