Solemn news from the RedFox --- LOL! :embarrased

RF - I tried about eight times, and I just can't bring myself to delete RedFox - no matter how you spell it!!

Bill Gates just passed $50 billion in his bank account, so maybe you should just quit fighting it.

Maybe later tonight I can sneak in and zap your alter ego.

Mike, your sweet! but I hope you get that new ID gone from here... its confusin! :crook LOL

Charlie, I tried my new Goggle, and am having less trouble with it in IE also! :| I don't think Opera works well everywhere.... but when it does, it is worth using more than ay other browser! From what I read in PC World a back in Jan' it had "zero security flaws" but Firefox and IE did :!: :x

Thanks for lookin into this guys, I think I'll have to load firefox again. I just don't care to have 3 browsers on my puter... oh well! :disgust

Anymore I'm finding I want to be spending more time out in my shop than anything - arrg! 8)

Redfox. PC World is wrong about Opera not having security flaws. Go to Google and type the following in opera security flaws. Even PC World admits there are serious security flaws with Opera.

Well RF - I did zap the imposter RF last night, and guess what!?! A cold air mass came down from Alaska, according to the local news, and made it snow on us! You have way too much power, my friend.

Hi Folks,

Now that the C-Dog site is gone, more people will be using the C-Brats site. I noticed that on the HOME page, what ever subject that has been answered, or started, ends up at the top. Then when you go back, and not remember what forum it was in, you can't find it without checking every FORUM site because it is no longer on the HOME page. Example, I was answering the "Wandering the SW Coast", and when I went back to check it out, I had to look for it and found it on the Gatherings Forum.

Is there any way that we could have a longer time on the HOME page on a subject?

For instance, I found the subject about the Chart Viewer yesterday. Today, it does not show up on the HOME page. Where did it go? Which of the many FORUMS did it end up in?

Just a thought.

Fred Heap

PS. You guys are doing a great job. Thank you.

Hey Fred, I had the same problem. I found that by clicking on the box that brought up all posts within the last 24 hours, you can really narrow it down. There are other options there, but if you try for a week, you'll find a "Heap" (pun intended) of posts....

Try it.

Yeah...it's a tough balance to find as the site gets busier.

On one hand, if you don't check in often, the most active topics scroll off the front page pretty quickly.

However, given the number of posts and different topics, we need to keep things somewhat organized by placing conversations in the correct forums.

Three things:

- First, as Charlie mentioned, use the "Last xx days" option. That will show all active topics for the time period selected, across all forums - whether there are new posts or not.

- Second, use the "My Topics" option. When you are reading a thread that interests you, and you know you'll want to come back to it, click the "Watch this topic for replies" link in the lower left-hand corner of the page. Once you've done this, you can then click on the "My Topics" link at the top of any page, to see just the topics you are watching. As an additional bonus (or annoyance), you'll get an email every time the topic is updated with a new reply. Sorry...no way to disable the email.

- Third...I just increased the recent topic count on the home page from 10 to 20. It forces the other boxes down a bit further, but y'all can scroll a bit if necessary...

Like I said, it was a few months ago, the report on browsers was done by them. I really doubt seriously their reporting BS about it. :moon

Mike... your funny-as-hell still :thup :xlol
