Garhauer marine Hardware Lifting Davit

Hi folks,

My daughter's father-in-law had a hoist built by his son. It was attached to the port aft corner of the cabin, and consisted of a stainless tube inside another stainless tube. The bottom tube, the larger was about as long as the height of the cabin. the second tube extended about one half the height above the cabin. The arm folded up and swiveled out over the water and cockpit. It had a pulley on it. When not in use, it folded just behind the cabin.

When I saw it, I asked my Son-In-Law who is a marine mechanic if one could be made for my 22' Angler. He said to design it.

I think it could be fabricated to go on the same place behind the door when it is open. It would fold down to fit below the cockpit cover height and above the rear cabin window.

My use would be to hoist the outboard into the cockpit, and the inflatable on top of the cabin and cockpit cover and frame.

Still in the idea stage, but I think it could be done.

The extra mounts were minimal when I got them at Guarhauer--as I recollect about $25 for the set of a ball and rail mount. I probably have the check, but I recollect I paid less than $300 at the factory. But of course had to pay Calif. sales tax.
