General Maintenance

Greetings on this windless sunny day from Sea Isle City, NJ. Wish my C-Dory was still in the water.

Recently asked a question for the forum and was impressed with the knowledge and friendliness of the C-Dory Community.

As I mentioned this year I acquired a 2001 22 ft C-Dory that I am very happy with. Owned boats before so I am familiar with the obvious maintenance issues.

How about any maintenance issues that are not obvious or peculiar to the 22 foot C-Dory.

A couple of C-Dory specific things come to mind.
* check that screws that go into the cockpit floor are sealed and tight. I removed and cleaned my gas tank and found sereval loose screws
* clean out the sliding window tracks
* sit in the helm seat every few weeks, bounce up and down and make motor sounds

the great thing about these boats is that they're low maintenance.
