Going Boating Today

Thought this might be fun. I am going out in the boat today, and I will be headed north along the Tacoma Narrows, past Gig Harbor and up Colvos Passage. Maybe as far a Blake Island. I will return at sunset. Any one else in the area going to be out on this wonderful winter day?

I'm envious, Robbi. :mrgreen: It's a BEAUTIFUL DAY today...and I'm typing this from my patrol car. :cry At least I'm wearing short sleeves. :wink

I missed ya. I went west towards Squaxin on the high tide this am. It looked foggy down your way. Lots and lots of logs and other floaters towards oly. Catch you next time

hmmmm........snowing here today with enough to fire up the snow blower.....at least we have good fishing :)
 
And on the other other coast, it was a nice day (partly sunny, temp around 70º)... and I was stuck in an owners association annual meeting most of the day. A bunch of old farts arguing about whether or not to spend money the association doesn't have on something most of 'em don't want. :roll: Woulda been a fine day to be out on the boat.

We have house guests from Sequim and the Fort Worth area. We noted several of the last few days, it was warmer in Sequim than in Pensacola FL. We did get out in the Tom Cat--and had a great cruise about 50 miles along the waterways and white sand beaches. Yes, truely fine winter days. I just got off the phone from a friend who is on his boat at Bahia Honda (Keys) and it was about the same temperature down there as in Pensacola..crazy weather--great times.
 
We had the same idea today but Blake was full up. So now we are at Tizley's in Poulsbo getting ready for schnitzel. Great day for boating and sunny too. Saw some new sea lions near Rich passage.

Rob, Sorry I missed you, I did go south as far as Anderson Island about 10am, then I headed north.

Karl, Hard to believe that Blake was full, may have had something to do with the fireworks at Pier 66 in Seattle tonight. Anyone know what that was all about?

It was a wonderful day to be on the water. Porpoise, eagles, seals, warm sunshine, calm waters, and a beautiful sunset. Plus, I found this beautiful Nudibranch. This is the first one of these I have ever seen. Nudibranch iris, or Giant Nudibranch. It was at least 10 inches across. This is an underwater shot taken from the boat with a Pentax W 20.
