I am buying a 2005 22 Cruiser, and getting conflicting reports about whether there are uncored portions of the hull when I could install an in-hull transducer. Has anyone found a good location with no core?
I mistakenly put this question in the C-Dory Boats for Sale forum, thanks to Barry Rietz for pointing this out. Barry tells me he ground through to the outer hull under the galley counter, filled the hole with bubble-free fiberglass and installed an in-hull transducer there.
I am reluctant to grind into the hull. Has anyone found an uncored spot in the bottom where an in-hull transducer works without cutting through the core to the outer hull?
