Got a "new" old one

Well, as the previous owner of "Snoopy-C", I thought I could get along without a 22 cruiser. I tried a "tin" boat for the ride -- which is great -- but a strong NW rain will come right through canvas tops. I tried a 16 angler, but it didn't quite have the storage/creature comfort that my old Snoopy had. Well, I found another 1988 22ft cruiser that I couldn't pass on -- it has been on a trailer twice. Once when it was launched and moored on San Juan Island, and the second time is when I hauled it home last Saturday. Well, it has lots of work needed starting with barnacle, mussel, and other green algaes, lichen, and slime removal on all parts of the boat. The motors are toast, but I've got one I rescued from a drowning near Bellingham. It won't ever shine like Snoopy-C, but it'll do the job that Snoopy taught me it can do. Once I get it rigged similar to the old Snoopy, I'll be a happy camper. Yippee, Ron (aka Digger) IMG_0220.jpg

Actually, that boat looks like it's in good shape except for the crud on the bottom. The gelcoat isn't damaged, and the interior seems all there.

Great boat, and good luck with the cleaning. What are you going to do with the motor? You can't hardly ruin those old Evinrude motors.

Great pictures in the album. Curious how that wallas heater worked out mounted like that. That would be really easy to do.

a couple of gallons of bleach and a brush will make that bottom good as new.... and with a nice rub of good wax...she'll be just super...

Thrilled for you..

if you ever get discouraged, you can always look at the condition my boat was in when i got it. I think it was the dirtiest c-dory I've ever seen. They are super fun to work on though, enjoy!
