Got to get one of these

Great commercial,

We love ours without the auto-stow feature. Unfortunately, that feature would interfere with the bow railing even if we wanted it. The GPS integrated wireless control is the real icing on the cake.

And in the video, I would not trust the range of the remote with the real possibility of losing control and setting the boat adrift. We have had great reliability of the control provided during three years of use but someone better be on our boat if there is not as least one line fixed to something.

Not for me, I think.

I typically launch my CD25 single handed. The ramp has nasty rocks just a half boat length to port, currents that run perhaps to 2 kts, winds that can be anywhere from 10-20 kts (I don't launch in stronger winds). Nope, I want to be on the boat. I just tie to a mooring buoy, and row the dinghy back in to put the trailer away. I need help (my wife  :D) to drive the trailer away if the ramp is busy.

Always amazed me that guys would spend $100K to catch a small, fresh water fish that they are not even going to eat. Bass fishing. I don't get it.

Mark   Me either. I think it isn't the fish, that is just an excuse to go crazy fast on the water

I have a friend who fishes the Bass tournaments. He gets 2 $60,000 boats given to him per year with motors and electronics that he can sell after using them for 6 months. He gets around $30,000 per boat when he sells then at the end. His truck is given to him by a sponsor it isn't worth much at the end because he will put 200,000 miles on it in a year. His house is given to him rent free every year. He can make $100,000 to $200,000 per year in winnings. All that and he makes money off of his television show too. It's a serious business and he puts all the fish back in the lake. He makes a very good living going fast and throwing the fish back. I guess you just have to like what you do.

Reading the diverse comments on this subject is one of the elements that makes this website fun. I must say that I usually launch and retrive the C-Squirt single handed without the benefit of wireless remotes and electric motors. Guess it all boils down to how you allocate your assets. I think I'll continue to allocate some of mine to lures, beer and gas.

It is very cool and the ad is cool, BUT--as Kushtaka said: Murphy will love it!!! Very cool when it works, very uncool when it doesn't and you've got to strip, get into wretchedly cold water and try to chase down a boat that is drifting down wind faster than you can swim! Maybe I'm just not a gambler! I, too, like the "old school" feel of that painter in my hand. If pressed I can screw up on my own anyway!
