Just wanted to say, a little late, Happy New Year to all of you!
My wife and I rang in the New Year on the water! We spent New Years Eve in a slip at Point Hudson Marina in Port Townsend and had a great seat for the fireworks show from our cockpit!

On New Year's Day, we went through Port Townsend bay, through the Portage Canal and into Oak Bay.
We ended up in Port Ludlow for our second night of our weekend.
We left Port Ludlow on Friday and did a trip to Pleasant Harbor on the Hood Canal, about 25 miles from Port Ludlow.

On Saturday morning, we returned to Port Townsend to load up for our trip home.
In our travels through the whole weekend, we only saw one other vessel actually traveling on the water- a sailboat on Portage Canal. It was an amazing weekend and very relaxing- exactly what we needed!
It's amazing to me how peaceful it is traveling this area in the "off-season"! As long as you keep an eye on the weather, it can be extremely rewarding!
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your boats as much as possible!
