Hardee 7777 Perfect Number

I just recently noticed I was getting close to 7777 posts. Seems like a perfect number to me.

7777 on 3-4-2017

I have been on the C-BRATS for 10 years now, and you all have made it my go to place. I have learned so much about C-Dorys, mine and others, had so much help, great advice, and really good questions. I have met so many really great folks and had so many fun times. Around the campfire, at the CBGT's, on the docks, and on the water. Great cruises, quiet evenings and fun trips.

The best days in life are on a boat!
You also find the most interesting people on a boat!

Looking forward to meeting you one of these days Harvey!

Harvey, congrats on reaching that perfect #! And thank you - its the members like you and your contributions that make this place feel like home.

The only notable # I've passed was 666 - not one that I celebrated!

Membership #'s have taken a leap as well. When I started here as a guest in 2009 we only had around 4,000 - almost double that now.

Best wishes and God speed towards your next 7,777 posts!!

Rob

I am about as averse to numerology as possible, but 20 years ago my views were shaken a little ... a couple I know, domiciled a couple blocks away, lived catty corner to a guy who went wacko one night and, sitting on his porch, barraged their house with his deer rifle, sending them to the floor as lugs slammed into the dressers overhead. After about 20 rounds, he ran out of ammo or angst, and the cops took him in without any further harm.

The next day, after the cops told them why the guy shot up the house, they changed the middle digit of their house number, to 696, by rotating the middle digit 180 degrees. You can still see the fade pattern from the old digit.

They moved, later.

Mike, Floyd & Eiko, Rob and Dave; Thanks for the replies and for being here. You all help make this place great.

Mike, you and Bill make this place possible and make it what it is (home on the web – rhymes with “Home on the Range”) and it is great, and great to come home to.

Floyd & Eiko, I do hope we get to meet at some point down the line. To cross wakes or to share a table at a CBGT. We came close once, but that thing called “schedule” got in the way IIRC. And I missed the Delta Cruise this year. It is getting higher on the priority list, and will make it one of these times.

Rob, Glad you’re here too. I always enjoy your posts and your perspective, I know nothing about Ontario (hardly) but hope to get in some cruise time there in the future and maybe we can meet up then. I grew up on Vancouver Island, and have always had a fascination for the Great Lakes, Hudson Bay and the Maritimes. Looking forward.

Dave, I am about as far away from being into numerology as one could get. Pretty rare I pay attention to any numbers (except maybe my checkbook), and it was really a fluke that I happened to notice 7775 so really didn’t have much warning. I do enjoy your posts and always the “science slant” when it’s there. You’re nearly close enough to be a neighbor on this site, so I hope we get to meet along the line sometime too. (Not likely I will show up on the bike though, That bridge is too high.)

The C-Brats site has been so important to me for as long as , oh no, way before, I got my boat. I just wanted to say thanks to all.

Harvey-

You'll soon pass me and slip into the #2 poster's spot, about a mile and a half behind Thataway Bob, who's the most prolific poster ever.

I've dropped down to a post or two a day after selling my C-Dory, and have lost some of my keen interest.

Fun reading your cheerful posts. Keep it up!

Joe. :teeth :thup

Joe, Thank you for the note. I'm not here to "pass" anybody, and I sure can't hold candle to the fine analytical and scientific slant you bring. I look forward to your posts and appreciate your regular additions to the "happy thread" with the good humor.

Sold your C-Dory, oh no, say it ain't so. I didn't know, where was I? And now that there is water in lake Shasta too

Sure hope you stick around here, your input is important and appreciated Joe. It's been said before and is still true, "Once a Brat, always a Brat."

This one's for you.

Joe, it is certainly not a race, I just like the shape of some numbers.
The 8008 just looks cool, even upside down and backwards. And no, I'm not putting a spin on this. :disgust

Sorry, no pix in the sig, doesn't work from the tablet.
