Heat for a C16 Cruiser

Has anyone got any ideas on how to safely get some heat into a C16 to make it a little more comfortable as the days get colder? The boat stays in freshwater year round so there isn't much wave action. I want the unit to be secure and safe.

Thx

Ditto on the Buddy heater, I have one for my 16’ and fish until ice up, also nicely heats my 22’ classic cabin.

Best heat I've found is the First Mate and a double/queen sleeping bag.

:hug :love :hug2

Gotta make sure the zipper works in the middle of the night though.. :cry

Also, hard to fish from that position... depending on what you're fishing for .. :disgust Hey, I'm not THAT old.... :smile

Easier on a TC 255 than a 16 however.... :thup

No question about it, just to take the chill off, there is nothing like a Mr Heater Buddy (NOT a "Mr Buddy Heater"!). Although we bought it for our CD16 Crabby Lou, since we pulled the Wallas out of Daydream, we are using the Mr Heater Buddy on the road on our way to Lake Powell. The main thing is that it is (supposedly) safe to use in an enclosed space as long as there are 9 square inches open to the outide - we usually have quite a bit more than that! Highly recommended!

We use one too, but be ready for moisture. Consider a fan (or lots of wiping of the inside of the windshield) for the windshield when using while underway. We use it during hte Portland Christmas ships parade in December, and we stay quite cozy. Safe, if it gets rough and rattles around too much or you accidentally kick it, it shuts off.

I hope everyone is using a functional Carbon Monoxide (CO) detector and the heater turns off when tip over. I would check it when the heater is on.
Carbon monoxide poisonings are too common.
see http://www.cdc.gov/co/

Propane tanks should be checked for leaks and proper storage of tanks is another consideration

My public health message for the day.
