One bar of signal strength on the wireless indicator! We are anchored at Garden Bay at Pender Harbour. First night at Smuggler Cove, a truly wonderful anchorage. To Princess Louisa early next morning - totally awesome! Only six boats on dock at PL. Went in and came out at slack, so have not seen Malibu Rapids roaring. I really don't know how to describe this, will have to post the pix. Came down Jervis Inlet at trawler speed, fueled at Egmont - $5.80 a gallon, and glad to pay it! Patty is not too high on Garden Bay - mostly houses surrounding, maybe we should have gone back to Smuggler Cove. On way up, had a little problem, engine stalled out above 4K rpm, John at Buccaneer Marina in Secret Cove is a prince - charged me $45 to change the Racor filter in the fuel-water separator, and I was glad to pay it! I could not budge that sucker with bare hands - going to start carrying a little oil filter wrench so I can change the fuel filter should the need arise. Pix tomorrow on return to Birch Bay!

Sure glad to see your post. We've been wondering about you. Sounds like a good trip even with the HIGH fuel prices and the filter problem. In Bellingham this morning lots of rain and some winds so you certainly didn't miss out on any spectacular weather had you stayed here this weekend. Looking forward to seeing your pix.

Good to hear from you guys -- we've been traveling vicariously with you and hoping all was well. Looking forward to your pictures.

Pat and Patty-

Glad to hear your report! Wish I had some of that territory in my "backyard".

Too bad about the trouble with the fuel filter. At least you got it fixed quickly and easily.

I just think I might start carrying a replacement and the filter wrench in the boat! Good advice for anyone on a long trip of this type!)

Enjoy the trip home!

Joe.

OK, it is 11:35 p.m., a quick note before turning in - this morning we woke up in Garden Bay, Pender Harbour, tonight we will be safely tucked in our big king-sized bed in Fall City, a bit of a Marathon day...smooth conditions for the run down from Pender Harbour to Point Roberts to clear customs, over to Blaine to retrieve, stop over in Birch Bay to flush the engines and a good wash down for the salt-encrusted boat plus a sun-downer on the deck and dinner, then the drive back to Fall City...did I say it has been a LONG day? I will try to get some pix up tomorrow!

Pat, Patty, and Austin-

Welcome Home from the CannonBall Run!!!

Get some sleep, please!

See ya' tomorrow!

Joe.

Welcome Home! Glad to hear the weather conditions allowed the completion of your trip on schedule. Looking forward to the pictures and more details after you guys get some rest.

OK, I am posting everything else from here on in the original Memorial Day Princess Louisa Cruise thread!
