Help in Reno !!

Our son had emergency surgery while we were on the Lake Mohave cruise...so on Sunday we pulled out and towed to Reno to be with him... We will need to stay until he is up and able to take care of himself...(back surgery)...so we don't know if it will be a week or a month...he is walking but can not lift or bend over...

Does anyone have suggestions for short term storage for our 22' while we are here ? I looked in the Reno yellow pages, but thought I would ask here before I started calling around.

I can not even get to our cabin in Chester...mucho snow..

I am parked on the street and need to do something quick before I get a ticket...

We are in an apartment in Carson City until June. I don't believe there is a prohibition on boats but can check tomorrow. A fellow lobbyist is a C-Dory owner and probably has room at his place -- he usually has three or four boats. Can probably park it on the back lot of one of my member Reno banks too.

You can park at my house in Cold Springs, 17 mile north of Reno on 395. No problemo. I have a 1/3 acre. Plenty of room and secure.

Joel, I am sure that it is too far out of your way, :cry but you are welcome to bring your boat west over I-80 west to Rescue in western El Dorado County after the storm lets up. I have 10 totally secure acres here. Plenty of room. :thup PM me if you want to come over and I will contact you w/ directions. Here is to hoping that your son gets well soon. :wink
 
Joel,Glad you had a safe trip to Reno. Pat and I left Monday morning and stayed last night in Hawthorn. Arrived in Fallen before noon and put the boat in a storage facility. Inclosed by herself for a month. $115. I know of no place near Tahoe, Reno where one can find such a deal. It is just 75 miles from here. :thdown . I am so glad not to have to mess with Tee Ten tonight, out in the 3 ft. of snow.  :thup and still snowing. All is good. :D Good luck finding a spot for Sea3PO and we are praying for a speedy recovery for your son. :thup Lets get together with Bill Uffelman somewhere, sometime at Reno, Carson or here at Tahoe.
 
If/when roads open up weekend lunch at Lake Tahoe or at Bully's or similar in Reno or Carson City would be fun.

Nathan is up and walking. He feels a lot better now than he did before.
Joel is having trouble with the 'puter- will post more when he can get on line.
 
Glad to her the kid is up and about. Also glad to see so many people willing to help. Susan and I did know a lot fo folks there at one time but most have moved on. Sorry we could not help. Remember to take care of your kids, they are picking out your retirement home.
 
OK...I think we got er solved....JT..Is going to let us store our boat at his place...what a relief...

Today I got Nathan out for a walk...He did just fine...actually said he felt pretty good... leg still hurts some but the nerve was pinched for about 4 months so it might be awhile before that goes away... the cut on his back is only about 5" long... told him not to bend over or pick anything up for a month...(or more)..but walking is good....

I am sure pleased with all the calls and e-mails of support, Thanks...You ALL are very near and dear to our hearts... It's kinda amazing that a boat will bring such fine friends together.

Roxy is in her element being a service dog...she is giving Nathan hugs and cuddles every time he sits down
