Hin number help

After learning that I need a new hin number, I ordered some new plates. I know there is one on the starboard transom but I cannot locate the second said to be somewhere on the port side. The boat is question is a 2012 22 cruiser.

Joe, the other is in the port, stern laz/locker/fish box for me.. I got the same notification but the state was to blame for the mix up,the boat numbers where up to code. Just became a paperwork drill.

I had a problem due to the state screwing up the number on the paperwork.

I would take a photo or two of the HIN and go to a local licensing agent. If the number on the hull is OK, they can correct the states paperwork.

I doubt that the HIN on a 2012 boat would not be correct.
