hooking up outboard kicker questions

Hi
I want to hook up my honda 15hp kicker to my honda 150 outboard.Without spending a lot of money what is the best way to do this. I saw Cabela's has a stainless connecting rod for $70. Also what about throttle control? Read some reviews on the Trollmaster Pro 2 that were not very good. So I'm wondering what other people use?
Lastly for me a picture is worth a 1000 words....
thanks

The connecting rod is what i use and it works just fine . The troll master is a nice feature for controlling your kicker currently useing my second one with no issues. I run my kicker off of my racor filter with a seperate fuel line with a shut off you dont want the chance of any air sucked trough the kicker fuel line when running your main motor will damage some systems it cost me a high pressure fuel pump on my susuki df 70.

I use the stainless steel connecting rod set up also, simple and effective. The Troll master throttle control is fine. Used one for many years, no problems. The only thing I would recommend on the Troll master is to swap the gears in the servo with metal gears. You can get metal gears at any hobby shop that caters to the RC crowd. You can even just swap the whole servo for a higher quaility, higher torque one. They are not that expensive.

Trollmaster is the way to go, IMHO. If they still have two separate kinds, get the one that is recommended for Wallyeye fishing. It was more sensitive. On mine it's hard to make really minute adjustments to the throttle. But on the more sensitive one, the adjustments are finer. I've had mine for about 8 years (second boat I've had one on, too), so they might all be that sensitive now.

I think if you tie the big motor to the kicker with the SS rod, have autopilot for the big motor, and the Trollmaster...shoooooooot, you're just like the big boys now. :D
