how to post photos from an iPad

We are having trouble trying to post photos to the C-Brats albums from our iPad.

First, we tried posting to the album for the upcoming Mississippi River Gathering, but there is no "add photos" button, and when we click on "photo action," then try to click on "add photos," it doesn't select.

Then we tried posting to our own albums (See-Saw), but they don't have "add photos" buttons either, and "add photos" doesn't select there either.

And if we get this all to work, how will we post the photos from the iPad? We don't think there is a list of photos, like there is on a PC.

Any help will be appreciated.

Use an app like PhotoBucket, upload your images to that, then paste your images in any of your posts. I'm guessing that the photo part of this forum requires flash, which the iPad doesn't use. A small work-around to get what you want.

Jim, I think you are saying to paste in the image address like this...

I am wondering if a Firefox browser would do the trick...

Yep. One of the options at PhotoBucket is to click on the image sharing protocol. That would allow you to put the images in a post. I haven't figured out a way to put the images in an album here.

Some here have heard me say, "The right tool for the job." We really like our old original iPad... it is the right tool for the job about 90% of the time. I guess I'm still "old school" about digital images and prefer to download them to my laptop. Several reasons:

Greater storage capacity on the laptop; 250 gig vs 30 on the iPad.

Much better imaging software on the laptop; real Photoshop vs the apps on the iPad.

Writing; even with the bluetooth keyboard for the iPad, the keyboard on my MacBook Pro is more comfortable/faster.

For web surfing, reading eBook and similar, showing photos, the iPad is a better tool. For marine navigation, I greatly prefer the iPad.

Most of the time, Joan uses the iPad, I use my MacBook Pro. Until we start up the boat... then, we share the iPad. It isn't like either device takes up much space, so no issue taking both.

Other sites are enabled for Forum Runner and Tapatalk apps It is easy read and reply to postings and attach pics and attachments.

Wonder apps and inexpensive

Hmmm. Besides Photobucket and the other programs suggested, would Picasa also work for what we're wanting to do--post pictures to C-Brats from the iPad? We use Picasa on the PCs and are used to it, already have many pictures downloaded to it, etc. We checked, and there are Picasa apps for iPad, one free, and others for nominal fees. Does anyone on here have experience with any of these?

I have not tried it.
It might work like this
Open Web Albums on Idevice
Select image
Copy url
Go to C brats
Post or reply to a message
press Img
paste url
press Submit

Maybe other ways too

OK, I figured it out, but it's a pain. I am back on the iMac to edit this, but here's the process. BTW, what I really want to do is to upload to my brat album, that's next challenge.

1. While on the iPad, in your photo program, in this case... Flickr. Open the image
2. Touch/hold the image, then select copy from the menu that pops up.
3. Get a new, blank Safari window up, and past what you copied into the URL
4. Touch/hold and recopy (not sure if this is necessary).
5. Open CBrats in iPad Safari, go to thread and hit post reply.
6. At point you want image, press the Img button, then touch/hold screen to bring up 'Paste'. Then paste and hit Img again.
7. Submit or Preview to check. It worked for the image below.
8. Go to refrigerator and get cold carbonated barley soup, ethanol content at least 7%, pop cap, curse at iPad.
9. Drink cold carbonated barley soup, relax.
