I've looked through the archives but I don't see a clear answer anywhere.

When I write the Nordic Tugs site and want Nordic Tugs site to be a hot link, what do I do?

When I highlight the words Nordic Tugs site

and click on URL, I get Nordic Tugs site

Where the heck do I stick the actual URL:

http://www.nordictugs.com/26_specs.cfm?showNav=models

I'm sure there is simple answer but I cannot figure it out.

Georgs-

There are various ways with different computers and systems, but the

http://www.nordictugs.com/26_specs.cfm?showNav=models

must be preceded by: http://www.nordictugs.com/26_specs.cfm?showNav=models

then followed by a: ]

then you write: Nordic Tugs

and then: [/url]

So you get Nordic Tugs

(Press the "Quote" function and see what the last link looks like in code before the computer turns it into a link.)

The [ and ] are the parenthesis like guys to the right of letter p, and are not capitalized. Also, there can be no spaces added into the full completed code or it won't work! "url" is also not capitalized.

Or, put another way,

Code:
[url=http://www.nordictugs.com/26_specs.cfm?showNav=models]Nordic Tugs[/url]

gives you

Nordic Tugs

Thanks, Joe and Pat!

So, the buttons across the top of the message form cannot be used to automate the process--even though this is the 21st century? :(

Yes, the buttons work. Copy your target URL to the clipboard.

Hit the URL button, which gives you
Code:
[url]
.

Backspace over the closing "]" and replace it with a "=". Paste in the target URL. Hit the URL button again, which gives you the closing
Code:
[/url]

Ta-da!
