This news video shows the extent of the damage. It happened at 3:45 a.m., so only minor injuries. If it had happened at 3:45 p.m., there would have been major casualties, since the building where the explosion originated borders a supermarket parking lot.

Tie to C-Dorys: one of the buildings damaged was the Les Schwab tire store, where I have purchased tires in the past for our King Saltwater Trailer.
 
Another tie: They fixed a flat tire there for me on a trip to eastern Washington one day. I'm hooked on Les Schwab tire service. Since I was stopped already I went next door and got a pizza.

I have family that live in north bend. Glad none of them where hurt.
 
David McKibben (Anna Leigh) and I (Daydream) are both from Snoqualmie Valley. David lived in North Bend. We both are very familiar with the businesses that were lost.
