Hulls built near Anacortes?

The director of the Port of Anacortes told me last Friday that C-Ranger hulls are being built in an unmarked grey building on Highway 20 out of Anacortes, at the intersection with the road to LaConner.

Since Nordic Tugs and American Tugs (among others) are built near here, there are probably many skilled workers for C-Ranger to recruit.

Jeff, would you like to comment? If true, why not put a sign on the building?

I believe it is actually the C-Dory 28, not C-Rangers, that are being built in on Hwy 20...

How did you learn this? And, are they building the whole boat there or just the hulls, then shipping them to the factory for completion?

I can provide some clarification on this matter.

Our plugs for the 29 are being manufactured on the outskirts of Mt. Vernon, not too far from Anacortes, while the molds are being manufactured in La Conner. The work in both locations is being done by Bayview Edison Industries. The boats themselves will be manufactured in Auburn at the C-Dory Plant.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Tom
