Impeller service on Honda twin 40hp

...How do you others deal with the woodrift key?

When I replaced the impellor pumps on Napoleon I used a hammer to gently tap the woodrif keys into their slot. This was after the shaft was covered in grease of course. Just a light tap and they went right back in.

It's getting them out that I find perilous, I noted in my post about the replacement that every possible orifice on the lower unit needs to be covered because the woodrif keys will fly right in.
