Angel passed over the Rainbow Bridge March 1, 2021 at 5 PM in the arms of Bob. and Marie. She was born in April 2006, She was rescued in September 2010 from the Pensacola Pound, and has been the sweetest dog we have ever owned. She loved the C Dory. She came to live with us less than a month before Bob's second cardiac bypass surgery. She has been at our side every day since. She was 98 years old according to our vet, in "Dog years"..

Perhaps the happiest we have seen Angel was at Lake Powell 2014, when she discovered "fishing". She would spend hours in the shallow water on her hind legs looking for and trying to catch minnows. She had attended over 20 C Brat gatherings, and enjoyed both the furry friends and people she met there.

Angel has been going down hill for over a year, when she became deaf and blind. There was some evidence that she may have had cancer of the pancreas. We brought Gigi to come to live with us in June of last year.

Gigi has grown to as tall as Angel, but lighter in weight and shorter in body length.
She said goodbye to Angel yesterday, and we can tell she is missing her today. But Gigi leaves for her first C Dory gathering at Hontoon in 2 days.

She has had a clip in anticipation of the warmer weather in Central Florida. (The photo below was taken in October, so Gigi is considerably larger--that is for a 12# dog!).

There is sadness in our hearts for the loss of Angel, but she was beginning to suffer. Rest In Peace, Angel. Gigi will not take her place, but will in her own right become a valued member of our boating family--and the C Brats!

Marie and Bob,
Joan and I are sorry to hear that you lost your best friend. Loosing a pet is one of the most difficult times of anyones life.

Angel sure epitomized her name! We send our thoughts to all of you.
Our pets, especially our loving dogs, make our lives so full. When we include them in our travels, they love it, too!

So sorry for what you have to deal with, Bob and Marie. Our hearts hurt for you. I wish I had some words to ease the loss. These furry family members give us so much and depend on us for their care and welfare. There is no doubt that you gave Angel a wonderful life. You are right that one does not replace another, but each new furry family member shows us that we have more room in our hearts to provide another with unconditional love and security.

I wish we could give you both a big hug, and we could share the all the good times these furry family members have been a part of.

R.I.P., Angel.

Sincere sympathies,
Jim & Joan

Rufus will get some extra hugs tonight.

Miss Teddi (will be 13 in July), Amy and I had the honor/pleasure of meeting Angel and you both at the 2012 Friday Harbor gathering.

We wish you our sincerest condolences!

Oh my, so sorry to hear! Just tonight, Lois and I watched the movie A Dog's Journey, which is a sequel to A Dog's Purpose. Both those stories put the true blessings of those furry little guys in an interesting, if not fanciful, light. It is hard to really figure out all it is about those critters that make them so special.

Bob, I'm so sorry to read about Angel's passing. We just love our animals so much, and when they're gone they take a piece of our heart. What a warm and wonderful friend Angel was.
:love

Bob and Marie, Condolences. It is hard to go past that point, and we never ever forget. Life goes on, but we carry those memories in a special place, always. Those who chose "Rescues" have a special relationship with their 4 legged pals, and it is reciprocal.

RIP Angel.
