I have an Alaskan(sort of) Inflatable and I need to get some repair done on it. It has an Air Floor, and when it is pumped up hard it is great, but it is leaking and I can’t tell if it is the valve or the seal around the valve where it is leaking from. I’m thinking of taking it in for some repair and wonder if….

Has anyone had any experience with Ballard Inflatable Boats in Seattle?

Service or otherwise? New, used or other? How was it?

I have heard good things about Ballard Inflatable boats.

Have you filled it with water or used soapy solution to look for the place where it is leaking? Is this an 11PSI drop stitch air floor, or lower pressure rolls, type? Is this a Hypalon or a Decitex boat? Bonding agents are different for the different materials.

I have tried the soapy water and have narrowed it to either the valve itself or where the valve is glued into the floor material. And honestly, I don't remember if it is Decitex specifically, or not, but it is the same as the Alaska Series so i believe it is. The floor is a high pressure floor, but i don't know the pressure listing.

If you get into the portland area the Inflatable Boat Center is pretty competent as well.
