information needed

looking for information on a center windshield that will open for my 1996 22' angler. the rubber rub rail around the boat came out. should i replace with new rubber or just use the old? if new is needed where could i purchase it?thank you for any help.

The Windows are Diamond Sea Glaze. I believe they are in British Columbia.

If you can get the old rub rail to go back in and stay in, I'd try that.

As for the rub rail - do a search here on the site as there are a few previous threads about both how to get it to go back in and what to replace it with if needed. In brief, in terms of getting it back in, you can usually heat it a bit with a hair dryer or heat gun and get it back in with prying tool (paint scraper, broad flathead screw driver etc).

Just a thought...I have had to replace EVERY rivet in my rub rail. Now might be a good time to check over yours. Sunbeam blogged a great article on how she replaced hers. Good luck.
