Jim & Joan – Dusty suggested you hang around until the Sequim CBGT and I concur that would be a great get together for you to make. The John Wayne Marina is a really nice marina in Sequim Bay. In the mean time you could go on an interesting cruise up the Columbia River and Snake River to Lewiston Idaho. Bill and Ell made the cruise down river and wrote about it on their web site. It is a trip I plan on making some day, but I will be doing it from Olympia.

There are lots of interesting places to spend time visiting. I can arrange for safe keeping of your truck and trailer in Longview or Vancouver, if you were to make the trip. Also when you get to The Dalles Oregon, I will take you on a tour of the Schreiner Ranch. It is across the Columbia River from The Dalles. I am working on a web page for them and you can look at it HERE. This is just a temporary address. The site is not up or finished, needs lots of text and descriptions before going live and much of the text is just used for filler until I have time to describe it properly.

If you do decide to make the trip, Terri and I would enjoy doing part of the cruise with you in our boat. We do not have time to make the entire trip. The temperatures from Hood River east will be more like Texas except without the humidity.
 
That is a mighty tempting invite, Dave... but the wife and daughter have made plans for us to be in the Phoenix area around Labor Day... and then back to Texas so we can start "personalizing" Wild Blue.

That website you're working on looks good - I'd bet Terri would really like one of those baby Wallaroos! :wink A bit more cuddly than a raccoon.

I was hoping I could bribe you two into staying longer.

We are going to the ranch this week and again next week. Terri is getting a couple of young Sicilian Miniature Donkeys. They make good alarms for when people drive up the driveway. You can hear them baying for more than a half mile. They will also keep neighbors dogs and coyotes away from the barn. I think baby donkeys are cuter than baby wallaroos. They also have a couple of miniature mules that I like.
