Just made a trip from Fort Myers Beach to Indiantown Fl.

We just made a three day & two Night trip across the State of Fl. We departed from Fort Myers Beach and went up the Caloosahatchee River to Lake Okeechobee then the St Lucy Canal to Indiantown. We were only a few miles from Stuart Fl. Stayed at Rolands Martins Marina (Great Food) we went around the lower Rim of the Big "O". There were 2 of us Pandy Girl & Susie Q from Fort Myers Beach Fl. Our trip was 280 Miles. I would recomend this to anyone we had a great time with good Boating Buddies. Jim

Sounds like you and Sandy had a great time and I was very glad to meet you earlier in the month.

I'm bringing Valkyrie to Ft. Myers in early April and Marcia will fly down on April 10 and then we will also head east, but continue onto Beaufort, SC where we will pull out the boat before heading back home. We will cover about 600 miles on this trip.

BTW: There was a meeting on 2/16 and the Moore Haven lock closing for repair has been moved to May 14 to July 2. There was an earlier closure date, but local businesses exerted pressure because it had been scheduled for the time when north-bound cruisers would be transmitting the area.

Looking forward to talking about your trip when we get toghther in May. Suzanne and I are planning to do that trip in reverse next winter.

Hi Nick, I know you all will have a good trip across the state and up the East Coast, it was good to see you and Jim. Enjoyed the great Dinner we had at Doc Fords. We did not have any problem with the Locks. Dick, That would be a great trip from any direction, look foward to telling you about it. The other boat with us was The Susie Q they live here, they have a 22' C-Dory also. We had a great time and good Dinners at Roland Martins Marina, where we spent the night. Jim
 
We left Okeechobee on Monday for Port St. Lucie & returned today, Wed., 2-22. We stopped at Indiantown Marina for ice. Too bad we missed you. We are trailering to Marco Island tomorrow.

Sorry Jim we didnt make our trip to Legacy marina last weekend with our cruise club, I was under the weather . Im glad you guys made the trip to the big O . The weather seems to be gettter better maybe we could get together in Naples or DR. pass anyway keep in touch. Jim

So glad to hear you guys had a great trip. We would have loved to have made it with you. We are still dealing with Trailer brake issues. Ernie now has it up on jacks and is fixing the problem this week. He finally has some free time to work on it.
