Lake Powell - Photo Sharing

At one of the campfires, El or Bill mentioned that it would be nice to have a place to better exchange large size photos. I have put together a group on Flickr that can be used for that purpose. Flickr is free up to a (large) limit, so there is no cost to anyone. You will need to have a Yahoo email ID, so if you don't, here is a link to the Flickr home page where you can register.

Once your in Flickr, you can join various groups. The group I have created is called CBGT Lake Powell - 2010. Once you have joined the group, you can upload and download photos that interest you. One caveat about downloading... the owner of the photo must have enabled that permission. I typically restrict all of my photos, but I am certainly willing to share with any of the CBrats, just send me a PM and I will send you the photo.

I am not sure if this will take off, but it is a start. If anyone else would like to volunteer to administer the group, please let me know and I will add you to the list.

Steve, thanks for the effort. For me, the albums on the Brats site are ample to see what others are doing. Most will go here to see what happens at the gatherings, if we split it, we'll lose it. JMHO.

If we need high resolution photos, we can share them offline.

Steve, Thanks for sharing the link and the photos. You do very nice work, and obviously put in the time to be at the right places at the right time. As a photographer, I see why that site (Flickr) appeals to you. Most folks here (and there are a few exceptions), are boaters who take pictures. You are a photographer who boats. It is a case of passion variation. For me, the salt water is in the blood, however, for many years, I searched the morning light, the mountain afterglow, and the dew dropped web, but the passion is not there anymore. You have that passion my friend, and it shows.
