Lazarette hatch lock

Anyone ever replace the lock mechanism on the hatch. After almost 40 years, could use replacement. Finding direct replacement fit seems daunting.
 
There have been a number of different lazarette hatches (lids) and thus different locks. I'm guessing you have the earlier style hatch with a molded fiberglass lid and that is a sort of rectangle with one diagonal side. Do you have an existing latch you can post a photo of? If so, I bet there is a good chance someone here might know of something like it, and/or a source.
