Line Hangers

Ok, I know this is a minor thing, but does anyone have any recommendations for dock line hangers? I am looking for a solution to hang three lines each port and starboard.

I was going to mount a few of these on the rear cabin wall on each side of the door, but then it occurred to me that there may not be room for them on the port side because the door needs to clip into that hold-open latch (or whatever its is called).

Are you talking about lines attached to cleats or spare lines not attached to anything? For the former, I like the sailboat jam cleats (? not sure of the proper term?) I have on my boat and I tie the surplus off on the grab bars. For the latter I just tie them off on the railing.

Warren, I am talking about both, but mainly those that are attached to cleats.

Tivo, thanks for posting the link to Art's album. Those are the exact same line holders I was planning, and he put them behind the opened door. So, they must work just fine.

In the cockpit, I loop lines over the hand rails. (after made up, and use a clove hitch on the railing).

Under the Port Lazarette, I have 4 SS line holders which are large loops and fastened to the top of the lazarette (under the deck)--there I keep a dozen extra lines. (I'll try and find a reference)

Through the years, I have found the the small plastic line holders: break, snag or get in the way, and don't use them
