Looking for Swim Step

I'm in the market for a CD-22 swim step. I'd prefer not to put holes below the waterline and my boat has a single outboard and Bennett trim tabs. The step should have, or accept, a ladder (preferably 3 or 4 steps). Any suggestions or offers? I realize factory swim steps may be had for about $400 from Seattle, but good retail steps are usually half that -- the problem is finding the right fit.

You might check with EQ Harbor Marine on Whidbey Island. They built one for my CD 22 using some brackets they had and starboard. A two step ladder is attached that folds up under the swim step. I think you could fit a 3 step ladder if you had it fold up on top of the swim step. I don't recall actual cost but it was significantly cheaper than the factory option, which we also checked at the time.

Price I was recently quoted for the factory swim step:

Price for the swim platform is $550 plus shipping and tax without ladder.
$695 plus shipping and tax with ladder.

The ladder on the C-Dory factory swim step is a off the shelf item (don't remember who makes it right now). I believe that you can replace the 2-rung ladder with a 3-rung ladder from the same vendor very simply.
