Yesterday while trolling for king salmon in the mouth of Deep Creek in the Cook Inlet, of the 12 boats there 5 were C-Dorys.

We are all friends and we call it "The Fleet". A nice sight. :D

Jack
Did you get any photos of those 26' footers? I would like to see what a 26' cruiser looks like.

Jack- I got yer PM today. Check yer box mon :!:  Hey, I'd like to see some more to of that 26 :!: I finally peeked at yer album here :thup thanx for sharrin :star :rainbow

:!: Brats :!: Jack and I are discussin whether or not I have the RedFox from the owner he knew way-back :!: I'm dead certain she is: It explains the mystery of all the cabin repairs done to my baby (always looked as if it had a new top put on latter----non-factory original work) Maybe Jack can sit down and tell the story some time here :wink :cigar :beer

Rock-C,

On page six in my photos, I have scans of advertising of the 26 footers from 1989.

(Too tired to make a link)

Jack, thats a pretty nice representation of C-Dory Boats. You got a lot of folks down there with extraordinarlly good taste.

Was one of those C-Dorys a 26'er, name of "Snow Goose"? Bill Bailey out of Ninilchik is the Skipper. I think he's still running charters out of Deep Creek.

Did ya know C-Dory even made a 27 Bowpicker :xseek Saw it here in Anchorage years ago.
We established the original owner of RedFox. She's from Ninilchik after all. :) (the boat that is :disgust )
Amazing! Finally a pay-off here; since the beginning of C-Brats :thup Looks like there's only 2 cella-Bratin' :xtongue
OK, I'm goin fishin now... don't try to follow

Mark,

Yes one is the Snow Goose II owned by charter operator Bill Bailey. He has had it for approx. 8 yrs. He runs it at least 10 hrs. everyday from mid April to mid Oct. It is powered by a 225 hp. 4 stroke Yamaha. The boat is really "hammered" but still works great. It is one of the best boats for sport fishing as it has the walk-around cabin. He originally had a 1984 22' Angler but it got used like above for 10 yrs. and it "got real tired".
There is another 26' just like the Snow Goose except it is a stern drive and is also a charter boat but in Seward. The Seward man used to also own the Snow Goose originally.

My friend and neighbor in Ninilchik has a 1986 26' Cabin Cruiser. Same hull as above but with a full cabin/galley/stand-up head/berths and outboard powered. It is red but used to be blue. It also was a charter boat out of Homer called 4D HALIBUT, owner died, it set for 5 yrs. my friend bought it 5 yrs. ago and put a new 200 hp Yamaha on it. He renamed it the MARYRED It has been a great boat for him.

Will get pictures of them and post them if anyone is interested.

As far as we know those 2 walk-around cabin models are the only ones ever made.

I just went back to look at the scanned brochure photos in Nancy H album and none of them are like the 26' C-Dorys I am talking about.

In my photo album "HIGH TIDE" there are pictures of the two 26' C-Dorys that are here in Ninilchik. As you can see neither one is like the scaned in brochure pictures mentioned above.
