Most stupid thing you've seen...

I guess I don't care if folks are so self-deluded that they waste their money on damaging a boat they can't handle (I see the same mentality in snow skiing.....where folks think that their poor skiing skills will somehow be magically "fixed" with a new, expensive set of skis). However, it's these overly self-confident, self-denying individuals that raise insurance rates for all of us! Unfortunately, we all pay for this stupidity.

Too much wind? Too much current? Or just too much to drink... Or possibly a mechanical problem? I'm thinking choice c.

I spent a night at the fuel (E) dock at Nanaimo Harbor Authority dock recently.
I was reading a good book, so didn't turn in at dark, instead it was about 11:30PM. Between dark and when I quit reading I counted 19 little commuter boats over about 2.5 hours that were going in and out of the harbor with NO LIGHTS, nav or otherwise. I didn't count the one that I could see the cigarette glow as a light. Besides these little commuters (10 to 16 feet) there are also big commercial tugs, commercial fishing boats, and big yachts coming in and out. I guess all those commuter types just think that since they cross there all the time, everybody knows when and where they go. Thump thump.
