This boat is nowt docked in squalicum harbor. We were coming back after having anchored for the afternoon in Chuckanut Bay when we saw this thing approaching the channel for Squalicum. The boat had to issue a Securite to warn other boaters that it was in the channel. It is 163' long and has a beam of 30'. It cruises at 12 knots and has a range of 5200 miles. I wonder if the helicopter is optional.

I beg to differ, Roger. It's not totally useless. You could use the helo to find bait balls.

The real question is where do you mount the darn downriggers?

Last time we were in the Brougtons that damned thing passed us a number of times, usually going fast and leaving a BIG wake. It also has a habit of playing loud music for the benefit of others.

Nice of them to share :-)

On the 22 foot dingy! :D

Well Evviva left Squalicum harbor this morning. I'd hate to meet that thing trying to make the 90 degree turn out of the harbor. At least there is another 170 feet of dock space available. I wonder what they charged for two nights mooreage?

I remember seeing something like this in Cambridge, MD doing a multiple-Y turn trying to get out of the harbor in front of Snappers Waterfront Cafe. It was quite the labored fiasco that lasted through most of our lunch.

I remember another similarly-sized aquatic behemoth that had both a helicopter and a Honda Civic in or near Ego Alley in Annapolis; perhaps around the corner at the Annapolis Yacht Club - can't remember any more. The helicopter, Civic, and boat were all white except for the windows on all vehicles which were equally-toned charcoal smoke. It was there during the 1975 In-The-Water-Boat-Show where I worked for Jerry Wood and Peter Carroll. Crazy times - crazy boats.

I like elbow room, but geez...
