Need some advice on how to ship a c dory from the west coast

We are trying to find a good way to get a 22ft cruiser on a trailer from California to Minnesota. Placed an auction item on the UShip site and getting some responses by email but not sure if they can be trusted. Also contacted boat haulers but the price seemed way too high. Any ideas or suggestions on who to call (or not call!) would be appreciated!
