Good lord, 128 Mb of Ram. This puppy must be glacially slow.

Hey Brent, whadda ya think? Junque? I wonder if it could run mapping software? At that price redundancy means "buy two or three and keep 'em in waterproof cans."

Don, why don't you be our tester and let us know how it goes. Go ahead and buy a half dozen of them and when you find out that they work well, you can sell them to us for $10 over what you paid and get yours free including the shipping!

In the advertisement it states
Please notice that the CPU frequency is 300MHZ and RAM has ONLY 128MB. It may not be fast as a common PC or laptop, especially when you run some website or programs at the same time.

I doubt it's loading any mapping software at 128mb. Plus it is running WindowsCE, which is Microsoft's embedded OS. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_CE) The mapping software would have to be able to run on that OS, which I believe is highly unlikely.

For a netbook, something that you only surf the net with, it may be okay. Might even run some limited Microsoft applications like Works, which are designed for WindowsCE.

this Brent
It runs Win CE and display is 800 x 480. I expect the display might be short on height and poor color and resolution. I would ask for screen shots from word processor, Power Point and web pages. Might be ok for email, surfing or word processing, I would check on browsers, Java support, etc and once up and running, how many free memory and storage is free. I like Windows OS but it likes memory and system resources unlike DOS which was mean and lean in comparison

Great deal but $40 shipping and looks like overseas delivery.
sorry I would pass

They have the same for less plus some Linux netbooks

I cant recommend either b/c another is the screen refresh rate
Is it fast, acceptable or slow
mc2w Is select the GPS or echart software first b/c you will be using it often then purchase the computer

LOL! The source of that link said it was forty bucks including shipping. Interesting toy but not worth $80. At least not to me.

Thanks guys :thup

hell my phone would kick its donky. 128??

Being an overseas sale and coming from China it is probably full of viruses to spread to the U.S. internet or they are taking your money and running.

I run Fugawi on a Dell Mini 10. I think this is an excellent portable Marine set-up.
