I have been thinking about getting a bimini for the Mary Ellen for several years. I talked to Dave from King Marine several times and decided to go ahead with the project. I have a GPS antenna that is mounted close to where the track mounts on the cabin. Dave suggested taking the boat to the C-dory Factory and he would meet me there and see what modifications had to be done. I asked Jeff if it would be alright to leave the boat for a couple of days and he said sure. I met Dave last Wednesday and he installed the new top on Thursday. I got the stainless frame. The top looks great, it's one of those things you ask yourself why you waited so long to do? The better half said it is the best addition we have ever put on the Mary Ellen. After we picked the boat up we went down to Lake Washington and cruised from Renton over to Lake Union. The weather was great. I could not believe how may Coast Guard boats were patrolling the lake. Kept thinking my turn was coming for a check, but it never happened. Can't say enough how nice it is to work with C-dory and King Marine. Boy was it busy at the factory, boats all over the place. I am posting a couple of pictures of the top.
