New member, new buyer!

Hello all, my family and I will be moving to southeast Alaska this summer. We lived up there several years ago and used to own a 18' Hewescraft. This time around, I'd like all the awesome that the C-Dory brings to the table. We're in the market for a 22-25' cruiser. Upgraded horsepower would be great, prefer Honda, Yamaha, or Suzuki.

I'm working my way through the ads on here and boattrader, any help would be appreciated. My plan is to get the boat and trailer onto the ferry at Bellingham, WA for the transit to Sitka.

Welcome aboard. This is a GREAT forum. Good luck in your search; you've got skin in the game because you're in WA! Should be a bit easier to find a C Dory in the PNW.....

Welcome to the CBRATS site and to all kinds of great info about the boats. C-Dorys are perfect for PNW exploration, cruising and (some) actually quite a few are fished. Great group of folks here, with an abundance of collective knowledge.

Good luck in your search. What area are you moving from? Curious because there are C-Dorys in almost every part of the country. Some harder to find than others.

Harvey: I think he's in the Bellingham, WA area. I least that's what I interpreted from his post.

OK, Maybe. I took it to mean he was looking to get the boat onto the Alaska Marine Hiway ferry that runs from Bellingham to SE Alaska. That's a common way to get cars, trucks or trailers into SE.
