New Ocarina Video by Daydream Pat

Glad you enjoyed my tune!

We are bona fide snowbirds...last year we tested the waters, six weeks in Casa Grande. Liked it so much, we booked for three months this year! We'll be there January 3rd through the end of March!

Nice One Pat. Good music and I like the way the photos flow with the music.

Hope to see you on the water soon as you get back. You will be the one with the tan.

Hi pat,

Nice playing! I did not even notice the bass until I saw the credits. Had to go back and listen for it. Which track did you record first? How many instruments do you play?

I am taking lessons for Blues Harmonica and I know it can take a lot tries to get a recording that you are satisfied with - at least for me.

Steve

Steve, I played the ocarina, a couple of guitar tracks and a bass track. I recorded the ocarina track first, playing along with a recording rendered from EasyABC imported into Audacity with headphones, which helps keep me on tempo and on key! Then the guitar tracks, then the bass track. Then a lot of adjusting of levels and so forth. No effects added, sometimes I do a little reverb but this one didn't seem to need reverb. Glad you enjoyed it!

Pat, nicely done/played! How many ocarinas now?

Thanks, Steve! I have maybe a dozen or so ocarinas now, OAS (ocarina aquisition syndrome) is a terrible thing! But I find myself reaching for only one or two of them mostly - that white Aria is far and away my favorite, and then the black plastic Night by Noble oc when I want something indestructible!

Amazingly, I did not post the video I recorded on Daydream in July! We were anchored at Glenthorne Passage, and the boat was gently swinging, making for a nice background. I don't usually play video game music, but this one was for a contest honoring Satoru Iwata, the late Nintendo CEO and master game programmer.

Watch here.

Beautiful...Another side of Pat... Video Games? I don't even know what a Video game is!..

There are a number of other Pat's recordings. We were treated to a number of concerts at Lake Powell year before last! In any surrounding Pat excels!

I am impressed... you have always impressed me but you really outdid yourself...what talent... very beautiful and well done....

Yer my Hero...next to Jay
