I sure hope that old saying is true. Jo has been wanting a Bowflex home gym for some time...and I "surprised" her with a "like new" one today. Set it up in our newly deserted bedroom (one more to go on the empty nest thing).
I took the time to show here how to rig the thing up for different exercises, and amazed her with my natural ability to understand mechanical devices (I studied the manual at work), and proceeded to simulate a full workout, purposely choosing more "power rods" than I knew she could handle. Then I left her with it, and am now quietly running a hot bath after locating the Ben-Gay...do they make this stuph in an odorless version?
BTW...she's still in "The Workout Room" using the same power rods that I did, and hooking up the cables the right way rather than the way I showed her. If she's still at it when I get out of the bath...I think I'll pop an ice cold adult beverage...plug in the heating pad...and cheer her on.
