without sounding too dumb, how critical is the function of this tube...it's very thin and snapped off the stem at the lower end of valve cover...there was no clamp.. can the motor function with this disconnected ( we don't know how long it was broken) it could have come off when we removed cover or prior?? not much oil laying around area? any thoughts
