If it had been airplanes, there wouldn't BE anyone to get promoted. Nope, the Captain could have been sleeping in his bunk in the middle of the night and it still would have been his fault in our Navy! No forgiveness or second chances to be had...

Hey Charlie...that's the joke in the aviation world. I've seen it myself...mess up an aircraft and get promoted anyway. Most of the evals are for collaterals, not the flying part...scarey!
