We are glad Alan and Janice have introduced themselves to you all as the new owners of Sea Pal. We are just sorry that we hadn't gotten on here and given them an introduction from us!! They are real nice folks -- perfect C-brat material !! You will enjoy each other.
This last week has been a whirlwind of physical and emotional activity in the Burks household. It started a week ago Friday when Roger, Dreamer's former Captain, indicated that we might want to get over to the site and see Alan's post looking for a 25 C-dory.
We hadn't gotten the courage to pull the trigger by listing Sea Pal yet but we thought, 'okay, maybe this is the push we need, we'll see what happens'. The rest is history. One week later, this past Friday, we towed our girl to her new home in Portland. We think she will be happy there. Her new parents have the required enthusiasm and appreciation of her. And a boatwell.
So we are consoling ourselves with the fact that we have passed the Torch of Water Adventure onto Alan and Janice to go out there and make wonderful memories like we were fortunate to have been able to do with her. Sea Pal ( or whatever her new name might be - she's flexible) loves to cruise far and wide, creating priceless tales of people and places that no amount of money can buy.
After delivering her to her new Captain and First Mate, we headed to the Oregon coast to the new member of our family -- a month old wheeled conveyer of adventure we've named, what else but, Land Pal !!
As Roger said," Once a Brat, always a Brat" so we will continue to be seeing you our special friends at some of the gatherings, even if we aren't on water.
