personal re-had

so, on a personal note, i love wood working, lamdscaping, working on boats and body building. all of these interest improve what ever it is that i'm doing. for the past five years i have been changing my physique by hitting the weight and eating clean. that all works well from the neck down but didn't help my smile or facial looks. so, 18 months ago, at age 60 i had braces install, both upper and lower teeth, unbelievable results and last week had the final touch, two black eyes, bandage nose and chin. got the bandages off today and couldn't be happier. all for the cost of a nicely equipped 16' c-dory. i enjoy reading other c-brat stories and equally enjoy sharing mine. i share this story so that if any of my c-brat family are considering the changes i've made perhaps reading this will encourage them to jump in and get it done.
i have posted pictures in my album but wasn't able to attach. if you would like to attach it to this post that would work for me.
best regards to all
pat

ps: i can't wear glasses so hope the spelling and grammer is acceptable.

Pat, I'm all for the "hitting the weights and eating clean" part, but I'm thinking that (at least for me), it would be a heck of lot easier, less expensive and quicker to just get in a brawl down at the neighborhood roadhouse.....LOL... ....but then I'm sure the visual results would not be as appealing as I'm sure yours will turn out.

On the Stair Climb thread, we talked about "inspirations", and as I prepared for the stair climb, I began regularly lifting weights as well while I was in our department's workout room. I knew that you lifted weights and thought about that a few times. Incidentially, even though the Stair Climb is now completed, I still worked out today after I got off work and spent 25 minutes on the Stair Climb machine (108 Floors) as well as my weight lifting routine. (At different times in my past, I would work out, but in recent years had become lax....now I'm back in my groove).

Keep up the good work! :thup
